T-Shirt Competition Rules

  • Drop off one extra t-shirt at entrance table the day of the game
  • Design work must be original
  • Designs can be humorous, company focused, colorful… but please be appropriate
  • A group of secret judges will vote
  • Will be showcased at American University Athletic Facility
  • JDRF Mid-Atlantic Chapter reserves the right of final decision
  • Winning design will be announced during awards ceremony
  • Points will be given to the top 3 designs and added to the company’s total scores
    • 1st place: 3 points
    • 2nd place: 2 points
    • 3rd place: 1 point

T-Shirt Judging Rubric

  • JDRF Score: Incorporating JDRF logos and the spirit of the JDRF mission
  • Visibility Score: Colorful and easy to read, making use of the front/back/sleeves
  • Design Score: Visually appealing design, with an original “wow” factor (no extra weight given to “homemade” over printed or purchased shirt designs and vice versa)
  • Creativity Score: Creative (puns, pop culture references, etc.) clever saying or design that grabs attention
